I will dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers engaged in the usual stare-down, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really proceeding.
